Nepal Bhotia Education Center (NBEC)

The Nepal Bhotia Education Center (NBEC), in partnership with ETC, works in the northeastern district of Sankhuwasabha with approximately 300 students to improve education in the area. They have effectively taught many of their students to read and write in both Nepali and their native language, Shingsa.

Once they complete their studies, they will become teachers in primary schools in their home villages. The Nepali government is currently placing at least one female teacher in each primary school.
